The Frankie G. Weems Gallery presents abstract Dominican artist Ambriorix Santos in his exhibition, Step Forward. Ambriorix draws inspiration from found objects to create multilayered paintings about the experiences surrounding him. Self-reflection guides the selection of materials that are layered in his artwork to highlight the passage of time. Form and light are brought together to spark conversation between the physical and the possible.

Step Forward will be displayed from October 9th – November 2nd, 2025, in the Frankie G. Weems Gallery at the Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center on the Meredith College campus. The gallery is open weekdays from 9 am – 5 pm. The opening reception will be held on October 16th from 5 – 7 pm in the Weems Gallery. The gallery talk will take place in Room 137 at the Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. The gallery is located at 3800 Hillsborough St, Raleigh, NC 27607.
