The Frankie G. Weems Gallery at Meredith College invites you to “Process as Practice: A Glimpse Into The Studio,” an exhibition showcasing the research processes that inform and enrich the practice of the art department faculty across a variety of disciplines and media. The mission of the Meredith College Art Department is to foster individual growth by providing an intellectually challenging environment that engages students in critical thinking through the creative process of visual problem-solving. The department offers majors in art education (K-12 licensure), pre-art therapy, graphic design, and studio art, grounded in a shared core curriculum of studio art and art history. In addition, it offers minors in art history, arts administration, graphic design, photography, and studio art.

“Process as Practice: A Glimpse Into The Studio” will take place February 16th – March 6th, 2026, at Frankie G. Weems Gallery in the Gaddy-Hamerick Art Center on the Meredith College Campus. The gallery is open weekdays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The opening reception will be held on February 19th, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in the Frankie G. Weems Gallery. The gallery talk will take place in room 137 in the Gaddy-Hamerick Art Center at 5:30 PM. Meredith College is located at 3800 Hillsborough St. in Raleigh, North Carolina.
