Senior Exhibition: Echoes of Self
Exhibition Dates: April 3rd, 2025 – April 28th, 2025
Location: Frankie G. Weems Gallery in Gaddy-Hamrick Art Center

The Frankie G. Weems Gallery presents nine emerging artists for their capstone senior project titled Echoes of Self. Join Kamar August, Elisabeth “Rosie” Bunch, Paige Macquin, Niza Menez, Ainsley Rounds, Madison “MJ” Russell, Kelsey Smith, Mae VanFleet, and Wanda Whiteside in celebrating their undergraduate journeys and artistic development. Each artist offers a unique portfolio of mediums including, but certainly not limited to: ceramics, printmaking, painting, fibers, drawing, and collage.
During their years at Meredith College, these seniors have created works that are now being presented in an exhibition. Despite their different styles, each artist is a part of a whole. Art, and the creation of art, is innately a type of self-reflection in which many artists thrive. The title refers to the many facets of one’s identity and how that may be expressed through an artistic medium. It also refers to the change one faces as they grow and develop as individuals.
