The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition gives Meredith students an incredible opportunity to experience having their art professionally juried and offers recognition along with cash prizes. A diverse range of art from graphic design, fibers, photography, print, ceramic, sculpture, painting, drawing, and more is on view. Located within the Johnson Hall Rotunda, artists will have their work on display for the campus community and beyond. This year, the juror is Amy Wetsch.

Meet the Juror:

Amy Wetch

Amy Wetsch is a multidisciplinary artist and educator originating from Louisville, Kentucky, currently based in Raleigh, NC. Amy’s practice spans installations, paintings, drawings, mixed-media sculptures, and publicly engaged works. Her practice examines systems in constant motion, including tectonic shifts beneath the Earth’s surface, adaptive microorganisms in extreme environments, and human bodies that continually recalibrate in response to internal and external change. Amy received her BFA from Western Kentucky University and her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Amy has exhibited her work in museums including the Queens Museum, The Kentucky Museum, and The National Academy of Sciences. She has attended multiple artist residencies such as SÍM in Iceland, Superbude in Austria, and Works on Water in NYC. She has been selected for various honors, including a Johns Hopkins Extreme Art and Science Fellow, a More Art Engaging Artist Fellow, and is a lead artist on the newly selected NASA mission, Dragonfly.
